About
This is my journey through law school – written anonymously and honestly by an optimistic first year law student.
A little about me:
I’ve been a software engineer for 10 years or so, and have gotten increasingly tired of the IT world. I sometimes wonder if it was ever such a good idea for me to go into. I’ve always been a ‘law geek’, reading court decisions for fun, legal periodicals and books like Gideon’s Trumpet. I’ve also volunteered at a couple legal clinics. I have this crazy / not-so-crazy idea that my IT background has superbly prepared me for law school, and I’ll avoid all the anxiety and problems that others have.
A little about my school:
I’m going to a law school that swears that it’s different – better – than the rest, as far as the learning experience goes. It’s in a beautiful part of the country – the woodsy Northeast, and liberal ideas of respect for the environment go hand-in-hand with respect for the students and the school. Or so they say; time will tell.
